Dammam, the capital of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, attracts many visitors from all over the country. It has numerous tourist attractions and fantastic places to visit that it would take you weeks to see them all.
But, if you don’t have all the time in the world, then here are a couple of places you might find more worth your time.
MUrjan Island
Murjan Island should be at the top of every tourist’s itinerary when it comes to visiting Dammam attractions. Driving on the bridge that connects Dammam and Murjan Island can be an incredible experience in and of itself.
To get to the man-made island, you may alternatively use a ferry. While small in size, the island boats an exciting lineup of activities for you to engage in with picnic spaces, playgrounds and a park.
Dolphin Village
If you’re in the mood to see dolphins and sea lions in Dammam, then Dolphin Village is the tourist attraction for you. While there, you may enjoy the dolphin show, circus, little zoo and aqua park, or eat at any of the great nearby restaurants. It’s a wonderful place to spend the weekend with your family.
A little friendly advice, before purchasing a dolphin show ticket, make sure to inquire whether a dolphin is available. Also, it would behove you to try the mutton pizza at Dolphin Restaurant.
Heritage Village
If you want to learn about Saudi culture, Heritage village in Dammam is a must-see. There are several historical treasures, manuscripts, antiques, and other objects on display. There is also a restaurant that serves traditional Saudi Arabian cuisine.
King Fahad Park
King Fahad Park in Dammam is one of the largest in Saudi Arabia, spanning an area of over 100 hectares. It includes 100 varieties of plants, trees and shrubs, and is a destination you don’t want to miss.
Cobra Entertainment City
If you’re looking for some thrilling rides then Cobra Entertainment City has your name plastered all over it. It is a wild spectacle of rollercoasters and other, similar, attractions and is considered to be Dammam’s greatest theme park.
